About

I started making jewelry 20 some years ago while working as a ranch hand. The ranch was off-grid in the Siskiyou Mountains of Southern Oregon. I would tinker in the evenings, making stuff.
I've always been a maker.
Living on the ranch, with time in the evenings and nowhere to go, I decided to make jewelry for Christmas gifts one year. Since then, I haven't looked back. Primarily self-taught, I learn by experimenting and innovating, increasing my jewelry arts skill set each year.
Since 2021, I've been living and working out of a mobile studio. My dream for years had been to spend more of my time outdoors, exploring the wonders of the beautiful PNW beyond my backyard. So I finally decided to sell my house, quit my day job and build a mobile studio. Going mobile has allowed me to realize that dream.
When I'm not in the studio smithing, I'm most likely out in the mountains hiking, ski touring, trail running, and just plain immersing myself in nature. The wild natural splendor of the PNW richly influences my work. Time spent outdoors, preferably in wild places, nourishes my soul.
